数位消息人士称，鹈鹕更愿意支付英格拉姆4000万美元的均薪。目前，市场上除鹈鹕之外的选择也很少。因此，熟悉情况的联盟消息人士预计，英格拉姆愿意接受一份下赛季开始的高薪短约。

Fischer提到了三个球员的合同作为参考：范弗里特和火箭的合同（3年1.28亿，最后一年球队选项），哈登和快船的合同（2年7000万美元，第二年球员选项），哈滕和雷霆的合同（3年8700万美元）。

英格拉姆本赛季是3602万美元的到期合同，最高可以和鹈鹕续约4年2.08亿美元的合同。
